Try this little number that I aquired a taste for a the late, lamented Odeon in San Francisco. A freak bar in the Mission, in the higest tradition of the term FREAK, the Odeon was the home of erstwhile mayoral cani-don’t Chicken John. I used to go for the burlesque and this little number:
The Modern Pirate
2 parts Spiced Rum (plain works in a pinch)
1 part Kahlua
Shake with ice and serve in a martini glass, then top with a 151 floater.
The 151 is essential. Its the piratey part.
